Spring is now in full swing, bringing sunshine, color, and energy to our community. It’s the perfect time to refresh both our outdoor spaces and indoor common areas, creating a warm and welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike.
At The Wildwood Senior Living, we begin our seasonal preparation by focusing on the exterior. We refresh mulch beds around trees and planters, then brighten entrances with vibrant roses and seasonal blooms. These thoughtful updates create a cheerful, inviting first impression for everyone who visits or passes by.
Once the exterior is refreshed, we shift our attention indoors. We turn off heaters in lobbies and stairwells and add living plants to the vestibules for a light, airy feel. Our team cleans every piece of furniture and prepares the common area restrooms by stocking supplies and getting them ready to welcome guests.
As spring continues, our event calendar comes to life. We host an Easter Egg Hunt in partnership with nearby schools, which drew more than 150 participants last year. Residents and guests enjoyed a visit from Peter Cottontail, a petting zoo, and snacks for all ages. We also look forward to hosting a Mother’s Day brunch and a Memorial Day BBQ complete with live entertainment.
Outdoor spaces are now buzzing with activity. Residents are enjoying the walking trails, shuffleboard court, and the brand-new pergola area. Residents with mobility limitations especially appreciate this shaded seating space with an outdoor TV, and it is already becoming a favorite gathering spot.
A well-maintained environment not only boosts curb appeal but also promotes health, happiness, and connection. Residents feel proud of their community and enjoy spending time in spaces that are beautiful, functional, and safe.
