National Assisted Living Week is a special time when assisted living communities come alive with celebrations that bring residents together. It’s a chance to share stories, make memories, and enjoy events that show the strong bond among residents, caregivers, and families. This year, the theme is Season of Reflection. This is an exciting week here at The Wildwood for both residents and staff. We look forward to celebrating our Assisted Living Residents for a full seven days! We are a family here and it’s wonderful to spend extra time together laughing.
At The Wildwood Senior Living, we are honoring residents’ lives and experiences by celebrating with a decades themed week, 1940s -1980s. Additionally, each department will host a special event tailored to our residents. We plan on dressing up and having fun with each resident all week long! As the Resident Services Director, I am most excited to see the smiles on our residents faces and to spend quality time with them. Dressing up and playing games is just a bonus!
Taking the time to celebrate National Assisted Living Week is important. The Season of Reflection theme allows us the ability to think about our time together within the community, residents’ lives, before they entered senior living, and the ability to contemplate the important parts of life.
It’s not only a time to celebrate, but also an opportunity to appreciate the staff and volunteers who make assisted living communities what they are today! This week highlights the power of connections, memories, and the spirit of togetherness that makes every resident feel at home.
